What the?

Our tree has been sitting outside, waiting for us to get a chance to put it up.  Keegan is working today, and it started to snow.  In an attempt to rescue our tree, I brought it in and put it in our kitchen.  I also tried to put it on the stand, which is probably the most frustrating thing I have tried to do in awhile (I can't get it straight by myself!). My camera is broken (that is a hint Santa!), but I took this picture with my phone.
Last year, I felt really bad cutting down a tree and putting it in our house to let it die.  I thought about getting a fake one, but I read a couple articles about how real trees are actually better for the environment.  It creates a lot of waste to make a plastic tree, and they often have PVC or lead in them.  It also takes a lot of fuel to get them here from Asia.   In case anyone has wondered about this, it made me feel a lot better about getting a real tree.  Plus, you can't beat the smell and our cat really enjoys it (he has been sitting on that window ledge since I brought it in.)
Hope everyone is feeling the joy and spirit of Christmas!

Jaxon Turns 2

Jaxon turned two on the 25th, so of course we had to have an Elmo Party!
I thought this would be a good time to update my blog, I have been so busy with school and haven't really had much to say!
Anyways, my Mom got us a room at the Mansion House in Buffalo to use.  It is a really old hotel that had a side room perfect for a party!
It was extra special this year to have some of Keegan's family here, who came for Thanksgiving.  Bridget, Justin and Paige even surprised us by coming too!
My sister helped me make the cupcakes and she even made an elmo out of posterboard.  Her birthday was on the 17th so we got to celebrate that too while she was here.
I just want to add that I realized this year that Keegan is the perfect person to be married to when it comes to doing birthday parties.  He lets me take charge, he is very supportive, and he always tells me everything looks perfect! (He also understands when I am stressed about it and lets me boss him around, a nice bonus!)

Trip to Arizona

We went to Arizona last week to be there for my sister for her move to the dorms...and I miss her already! It was seriously HOT down there, which I expected, but it was so draining. It was a good trip, it was just weird going back without Trisha. Jaxon was really good in the car for that long, so that was a relief. Here are some pics from our trip!
My cousin lives in Phoenix and works at the Biltmore Hotel. It was so nice to see her, and it is good to know she is there in case Trisha is homesick.
Posing for pics in Trisha's dorm...we all look a little tired...
Jaxon was causing trouble, as usual...but he looked so cute!
At our hotel, cooling off!
I just thought this was cute.
I have some more Phoenix pics on my myspace page too and some new ones of Jax

Family visit!

Last week we had a visit from Keegan's dad and brothers. It was so nice of them to come and visit, and it was fun to have them here. I was glad that Keegan got to enjoy some time with his family and get some time off work before his crew started their new job. We went to the pool, and to Devil's tower (2 hours away). Unfortunately, after taking a bunch of GREAT pictures at Devil's tower, my camera's memory card quit working, and now I can't even get them. I am going to try and see if there is some way to get them, but for now, here are some pics at the pool!

This is Devil's Tower. It looks so much better when you are actually there, but this is a nice picture.

I ♥ Summer!

Here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks.

We are lucky we have a huge free pool in Buffalo. It is the largest outdoor pool in Wyoming, and it is free...I think it is in the top five for largest free pool in the country. It is a free way to have fun on the weekend!

Jaxon did not like his spiderman floaties too much! But this picture he was still trying to smile!
Trisha went with us. Jaxon really likes to jump off the sides of the pool and have us catch him.
This was last week when I babysat Cutter. These too have so much fun. I always put Jaxon's little table in the kitchen so they can sit and eat together.
Last Saturday was Keegan's work picnic. He went everywhere with Bryce holding his hand, it was cute. He was really good on the boat.
On Sunday we went on Katie and Joey's boat, it was so fun! We spent all weekend at the lake boating.
Today Keegan only had to work for a couple hours, so he went fishing! He came home with this monster.

Ten things you probably don't know...about me!

Alright, well Bridget tagged me...I am supposed to say ten things you might not know about me! Hopefully you guys still like me after I do...haha

1. I google everything! If I don't know something, even if I am no where near my computer, it will seriously bother me until I can figure it out.

2. A lot of people think I am a really mellow person, but I am a very anxious person. I worry about stuff so much it makes me crazy! I constantly worry about stupid stuff, and it drives Keegan crazy! There are days when I get really upset about not having enough time to do stupid things around the house.

3. Ok this is a weird one, but I hate the sound of other people brushing their teeth, it makes me sick and it hurts my ears. It is fine when I do it, because it sounds different to me.

4. I love teaching. Jaxon is my new little student. I wanted to be a teacher for so long because that is what I am good at. When I was little I taught my sister everything I learned at school. I did decide, though, that I would rather be a nurse.

5. I love girly coffee drinks from Starbucks or City Brew. If I don't have one from City Brew in the morning my whole day is out of whack!

6. I want another baby, but I know I need to wait until we are a little more settled. I would hate to get stuck in Wyoming forever!

7. I am mildly paranoid. I always have to check if the door is locked, and always have weird irrational fears... I think that probably ties to number 2 on this list!

8. When I was little I always wanted my mom to have more kids, because I wanted a large immediate family (I already have a large extended family, my mom has 6 siblings and my dad has 5). It all worked out thought, I married into one!

9. I went to Europe when I was a junior in High school and I did not like Paris. I would never go back there...pretty sure everyone else thought I was nuts.

10. I want to be a surgical nurse or a nurse in the E.R. I love surgery shows, and I can't wait until I am in there!

Alright, well enough about me! I tag...WHITNEY and LAUREN (Now you will have to make a blog Lauren!)

4th of July!

I have been so busy since we got back from Idaho I haven't had any time to post these pictures!

Idaho was so much fun!! We were worried about the long drive and the short trip, but it was totally worth it. I came home in a great mood, and with a pretty awesome farmer's tan! We had so much fun camping and seeing everyone, but I was a little depressed Paige got so big!

Here are some pictures from our trip...

I love how Paige just sits there. She is always so content and happy! I just love her.
Jaxon was so excited to see his Aunts!
He loves digging in the sand!

Paige is so beautiful! I hope we have a daughter half as beautiful as she is!! We miss her!

---------------
It was such a fun trip! We can't wait for the next time we can see Keegan's family!

Bubbles!!

It was such a nice day outside today! Jaxon had fun outside trying to blow bubbles.

Pictures from the last month

Here are a few pictures of our new little house...

Cutter and Jaxon sharing...

Jaxon made me a pet rock at daycare! This is the only thing we are going to miss about Jaxon going there, we get wonderful surprises like this!

Back to school!

I am so excited to get back to school this fall. I gave my notice today at work, and my last day will be around June 11th. I am going to work nights at Winchesters, and go to school a couple days a week full time.
I am also thrilled to have the remainder of the summer to play with Jax outside, and just enjoy my time with him. I really miss being at home with him during the day.
We have been really blessed this year with things going our way, so I decided this is something I need to do for me while we are still able to. Keegan got another raise this month, which will help, and he really has been wanting me to do this too.
Sheridan College will be quite a change for me. It is a small community college, but SO cheap so that will be nice.
I will post some new pictures of Jaxon soon, I have some really cute ones of him and Cutter from last week. He has been trying to say new words everyday. We went to the pediatrition last week, and he is in the 93 percentile for height, 66th for weight, and 43rd for head size (I really expected them all to be in the top percentile, haha). The pediatrician was asking about the head tilt he does, and I have never noticed it. Apparently, It can be a sign of eye problems, or muscle problems. As I sit here and type this, I notice that I am and often do tilt my head the same way he does. I guess the strangest things can be genetic!!!

Jaxon's chubby feet thank Zappos!

In my quest to find shoes wide enough for Jaxon's extremely wide (they are seriously like squares) I found Zappos! (http://www.zappos.com/). Living in the middle of nowhere I really appreciated the free shipping (and free return shipping if they did not fit). I ordered the wides and they came in the next day (for free! I was thrilled!). I was so excited, until I tried them on Jax and they did not fit. I am returning them for extra wides. Just wanted to share this great website for anyone else who can't get to a mall without a long drive! They also have really cute toddler clothes by Hurley, Quicksilver, Diesel, Matix, DC, Hatley and lots of other brands. This is my new favorite online store!

We love it when family visits!

We have been really busy with visits from family lately. It has been so much fun having everyone come and see us. Jerry, Heidi and Tess came to Buffalo and we had so much fun! We were so busy I forgot to take pictures!
The weekend before they came, my Dad and his wife Mary came to visit for my sister's graduation. I also forgot to take pictures, but luckily Mary and my Dad didn't!

Jaxon is always excited to have visitors! He would not sit still long enough to have his picture taken though!

The pictures of me and Trisha turned out really bad, so I will not be including that one!

I cut Jaxon's mullet and its keeps growing back...haha. I am starting to wonder if he has some redneck genes or something that keep his hair growing back like that....

Next time everyone is here I am going to remember to take pictures!
